Hi, my name is Erica Harley. I have come to Celebrancy quite late in my career, but it feels exactly what I should be doing. I have gathered a great deal of life experience along the way and I bring this to all my ceremonies.
I am an Independent Civil Celebrant living in Oxfordshire who provides bespoke ceremonies for your special day, be it a Wedding, Naming Ceremony, Renewal of Vows, Funeral or any other Life Event Ceremony.
I will work with you to create a memorable occasion that is totally personal. I can help source readings, poetry, music – anything that will add to the atmosphere you wish to create.
I have lived alongside or within sight of the ancient footpath The Ridgeway since 1978, as it wends its way from Amsbury in Wiltshire to Ivinhoe in Buckinghamshirebringing up my four children, three stepdaughters and in the last twelve years, my every growing band of grandchildren.
I have been a senior teacher at an Oxfordshire Secondary School as head of Drama. Then I moved into the corporate world working in the L&D field. I use professional actors, using role-play and forum theatre to give participants the opportunity to practice new behavioural skills. But my real love has always been the theatre and I have honed my skills by directing and acting with some high quality amateur dramatic groups.
